The Rapier and Sabre Pedagogy retreat is an intensive fencing instructor’s seminar focusing on the use of historical weapons, particularly the rapier and sabre. Our curriculum is based on traditional Italian pedagogy, and our format closely follows that of Sonoma State University’s Fencing Certificate Program. Our four-day, three-night retreat will feature morning and afternoon sessions of guided group lessons, interspersed with lecture and discussion on the underlying theory and methodology of Italian fencing.
Registration costs include lodging (not food) for three nights and registration for the seminar portion of the event. The “early-bird” period runs from February through July 31st. After December 15th, registrants must contact the event organizers directly to see if they can be accommodated. We offer a couples discount for those planning on sharing a bed at the event. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
